Henry Hoeltzel was the eldest son of (George) Michel Hoeltzel and was 17 years old when they arrived in America. He stayed in the St Louis area where he was an iron worker and laborer. He served in the US Army in World War I. He married Kate Reinbeck and they had three sons, Harry and twins Raymond and Ralph. Harry had one daughter, Melba.
